What this tool does: removes EXIF data and embedded metadata tags (including AI generation markers like Software tags and C2PA provenance data) from your image file.

What it does not do: defeat perceptual AI detection. Platforms like Facebook also use AI models that analyze pixel patterns to identify AI-generated images, independent of any metadata. Stripping metadata helps in many cases but is not a guaranteed solution.

How to Use This Tool

Remove AI metadata before you post.

  3. Click Scrub Metadata. The tool re-encodes your image and removes the detected fields.
